Whether you're stepping into a leadership role for the first time or looking to elevate your abilities, this program provides the skills and builds the confidence to lead effectively.
Part of our Leading Beyond Any TitleTM (LBAT) suite, the Emerging Leaders Certificate of Completion program is our newest industry-endorsed leadership training program. Designed for those new to leadership or seeking accelerated growth, this program lays a strong foundation to help you succeed in any workplace environment.
Delivered in-person at SAIT’s beautiful Calgary main campus, each two-day course in the program blends engaging instruction with practical exercises. You’ll work closely with a small group of peers to explore essential leadership topics, including self-awareness, mindset, conflict resolution and storytelling.
You’ll explore:
- transitioning into leadership and building your personal leadership brand
- developing a growth mindset to expand your leadership impact
- mastering workplace communication for productive conversations
- managing conflict and stress with confidence
- using storytelling to inspire and motivate your team.
Interactive classroom learning, hands-on activities and supplementary online content ensure a dynamic and comprehensive experience. Taught by experienced industry professionals, the program equips you with personalized strategies that align with your leadership style.
Upon completing the program, you’ll have a toolkit of actionable strategies to lead confidently and thrive in any workplace setting.
This program is ideal if you:
- are transitioning into or preparing for a leadership role
- want to enhance your communication, conflict resolution and leadership skills
- are looking for practical, hands-on leadership training to apply in the workplace immediately
- want to earn a SAIT Certificate of Completion credential to enhance and showcase your leadership qualifications.

There are no specific admission requirements (academic and/or work experience). Any industry-related experience you already have will be beneficial.
Delivery formats: For your convenience, we deliver courses in this program in-person classroom format on SAIT Calgary campus. Learn more about our delivery formats.
Program completion: This program can be completed in as little as three to 12 months part-time (subject to course availability) and up to three years. A non-credit SAIT Certificate of Completion and transcript will be electronically issued to you upon successful completion. Learn more about SAIT credentials.
If you're pursuing the full certificate, complete LDSH 041 - Leading Self first and take the remaining courses in the order listed. We recommend registering as soon as possible (7–14 days in advance of the course start date). Payment is required by Visa or Mastercard upon registration.

Declaring your certificate:
Once you’ve registered, we’ll automatically attach the certificate course requirements to your Continuing Education student account in the My Certificates and Designations tab where you can track your progression to completion.
