Course Description

This course in live sound engineering equips you with both the technical and communication skills needed in the development of a professional live sound engineer. Working with the equipment, and by learning basic signal and system theory, you'll gain a fundamental working knowledge of live sound.

While practising professionalism and communication that you'll need as part of a technical sound crew, you'll learn signal parameters of:

  • live sound reinforcement,
  • microphones,
  • mixing consoles,
  • how to match amplifiers and loudspeakers,
  • signal processing equipment and sound system operation.

Prerequisites

Strongly Recommended: Digital Sound I (AUDI 003)
