Course Description

This course provides you with an in-depth understanding of electricity and electrical terms. Explore the technical application of various electrical concepts, principles and relationships. You'll supplement the theory with hands-on labs to illustrate operational and analytical concepts. You'll also gain an overview of circuit analysis and safety.

Notes

Students must take an online Safety Orientation course (SAFE-160) before starting and provide printed proof of completion on the first day of the lab.

Prerequisites

This course is for learners with engineering and technical backgrounds with no previous electrical experience or education.

Due to the formulas used in the course, a strong math background is required.

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is designed for learners with engineering and technical backgrounds with no previous electrical experience/education.
Students must complete SAFE 160 prior to entering the lab.  Students must bring their own safety glasses for use in the lab. 

Schedule:
This course will be delivered using Brightspace. Students study at their own pace. Required on-campus lab Saturday, December 7th, 2024. Students must complete SAFE 160 prior to entering the lab.
