INST 138 - Gas Measurement
Course Description
This course provides technical knowledge specifically focused on gas metering technology and its installation, design, and operation practices used within the oil and gas industry.
Upon completion of this course, you'll be able to apply Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission (BC OGC) and Saskatchewan Ministry of the Economy (SaskEcon) regulations in gas measurement. When designing gas metering applications and identifying installation instructions for Gas Metering types, you'll be able to specify the appropriate use of the American Gas Association (AGA) and American Petroleum Institute (API).
Learn how to specify gas metering applications that require pressure and temperature correction. You'll learn how to outline the metering challenges and regulatory reporting requirements associated with wet gas and multi-phase gas measurement applications, outline fuel, flare and vent measurement, estimation and reporting regulations throughout the oil and gas industry in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan.
Measurement Technicians/Technologists, Measurement & Control Technicians, Measurement Analysts and Operators, Instrumentation Technicians, Automation Team Leaders, Measurement Engineers, Reliability Managers, Measurement and Logistics Technicians, Production Accountants, Hydrocarbon Measurement Specialists, Petroleum Measurement Technical Leaders, Advanced Gas Measurement Technicians looking to advance their knowledge on Gas Measurement will benefit significantly from this course.
