Course Description

Taking photographs at night or in shallow light conditions offers exciting technical challenges.

In this photography course, emphasis will be given to equipment, exposure, composition and techniques for taking photographs at night or with little ambient light. Some of the topics covered include basic astrophotography, lightning, fireworks, sunsets, light painting and more. There will also be two field trips during this course with follow-up critiques.

Prerequisites

Strongly Recommended: Basic Photography (PHOT 003) and Photography - Intermediate (PHOT 004)

Prerequisites: 
PHOT 003 and PHOT 004 are strongly recommended prior to taking this course.

Schedule: 
The schedule consists of 5 in-class lectures and 1 field trip. There is no class on Monday, October 10th for Thanksgiving Holiday.
