Course Description

Learn about the exciting and fascinating world of close-up photography. Course topics include the equipment and techniques for photographing the very small. Depending on the time of year, subjects may include insects, flowers, small mammals, reptiles or inanimate objects.

This four-week course includes four classroom sessions, plus two, five-hour field trips. The field trips will be held on the weekends in the Calgary area (dates to be announced in class). Specialized equipment is not necessary to complete this course.

Prerequisites

Strongly Recommended: Basic Photography (PHOT 003) and Photography - Intermediate (PHOT 004)

Schedule:

This course will be delivered virtually using MS Teams/Zoom & Brightspace/D2L. MS Teams sessions will be held on Thursdays between October 13 and November 19 from 6 pm to 9pm. There is a also a field trip on November 19 from 12pm to 4pm. We encourage you to use your webcam and microphone to contribute to a more collaborative learning experience.
