Course Description

This introductory Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) course gives you a solid foundation and basic knowledge of Contrologix and other Logix systems. This course will also introduce you to the use of RSLogix 5000 programming software, Ladder and Function Block logic, and program execution on the PLC where you will wire and utilize real digital inputs and outputs.

Prerequisites

To have success in this course, it is strongly recommended you have:

  • post-secondary diploma in an equivalent or related field
  • working knowledge of AC/DC electric circuits
  • boolean logic knowledge
  • familiarity with personal computers
