Course Description

This course teaches you the basics of residential construction.

From residential framing construction to the lock-up stage of a single-family detached house, you'll learn the ins and outs of what goes into building residential homes in today's industry.

Topics covered include various floor, wall and roof systems used in residential construction and the applicable building codes. You'll also be introduced to excavation requirements, footings, residential foundations, concrete, plus materials and methods of application of interior and exterior finishes.


Course CNST 003 is the mandatory requirement for this course.
