Revit Intermediate builds on the foundational skills developed in Revit Architecture Fundamentals and supports the next stage of the Revit Essentials learning journey. In this SAIT Micro-credential course, you’ll expand how you use Autodesk Revit to develop adaptable, coordinated building information that supports design development and project coordination.
You’ll learn how to locate and modify Revit families, then progress to creating custom components that respond to specific project requirements. You’ll explore materials, advanced wall tools, and design options to refine elements and evaluate planning scenarios. You’ll also work with project phasing and linked files to illustrate changes over time, manage visibility, and coordinate information from external sources.
As you progress, you’ll build competencies in content creation, parameter control, model organization, visualization refinement, interoperability, and collaborative production. These experiences prepare you to contribute to intermediate building information modeling (BIM) workflows and support design and coordination tasks within multidisciplinary project teams.
You’ll complete the course fully online and at your own pace, following a recommended weekly structure. Although self-paced, you’ll be supported by an industry-experienced instructor who provides guidance, feedback, and assessment. Through demonstrations, guided exercises, discussion boards, and applied assignments, you’ll move from focused skill development to a final portfolio project. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to create custom components, explore design options, manage phasing, coordinate linked files, and contribute confidently to collaborative Revit projects.
