Important Note about our Professional Certificate Program and Credential

SAIT offers Alberta Advanced Education-approved credentials (“credit” programs) and Institution (SAIT)-approved credentials (“non-credit” programs). All courses and programs offered by SAIT Continuing Education and Professional Studies are non-credit. Non-credit programming provides working professionals the opportunity to learn valuable skills that can help them advance their career opportunities.

Our non-credit Professional Certificate Program for International Students is a training/education program; it is not a government-initiated immigration program.

SAIT's non-credit Professional Certificate credential:

  • does qualify for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application
  • does not qualify graduates for the Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)
  • may be recognized by other Provincial streams and/or Federal programs.
