Emotional intelligence (EI), or emotional quotient (EQ), is the ability to understand emotions in ourselves and in others and to process emotions effectively in our personal and professional lives.
Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information to be effective.
With increased emotional intelligence, the emotional part of our brains works together with the rational part of our brain to guide effective thinking and intentional action. In this course, you'll explore the competencies that make up EQ, how they relate to you, and develop goals for your growth in this area.
