Come study in Calgary, Alberta and build in-demand skills from industry-certified instructors with our Professional Certificate – Supply Chain Management program—one of our new, in-person, classroom-based Non-Credit Professional Certificate Programs for International Students.

Professional Certificate programs do not qualify students for the Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), however, there are multiple other options for students in these programs. Students should visit Immigration and Citizenship to learn more about Federal immigration programs and AAIP to check immigration pathways to Alberta.

Professionals in Supply Chain Management utilize their technical expertise to establish reliable and effective supply operations that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. This program delivers valuable technical and practical knowledge in partnership with Supply Chain Canada and GoLean Six Sigma on essential components of the supply chain process and the tools & techniques used by supply chain management practitioners for success. You’ll learn about operations, procurement, logistics, performance analytics, and how to establish, maintain, and enhance an efficient supply chain process.


This program is ideal for individuals who are new to the industry or seeking a career in Supply Chain Management. No prior formal training or experience is necessary.

This program will prepare you for career opportunities in these occupations: Production Logistics Coordinator, Purchasing Manager, Project Coordinator, Supply Chain Supervisor. Supply chain management and related jobs are found in various industries including Manufacturing, Transportation and Oil & Gas.

Upon successful completion of this program, you’ll receive:

  • SAIT Professional Certificate – Supply Chain Management credential
  • SAIT micro-credential (SAITMicro) digital badge for each eligible course in the program
  • Supply Chain Training (SMT) Diploma credential issued by Supply Chain Canada

You'll also be prepared to challenge the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification exam. Some courses included in the program may be eligible for training credits or professional development units toward industry certifications. Additional education, exams or work experience requirements may apply.

The Professional Certificate – Supply Chain Management program is only available for International Students and can be taken as one program [for a one-year study period & one-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)] or ideally, with another of our one-year International Professional Certificates programs, for a total study period of two years. Completing two, one-year programs consecutively will qualify you for a three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). 

This one-year program is delivered over two consecutive terms. We offer three intakes (Fall, Winter, and Spring starts) of this program every year. Check this page regularly for new scheduled dates. 

Applications for Fall 2024 will open January 8th and are submitted via designated agent only, with the exception of individuals who are already in Canada and have a study visa. If you are an international student who is already in Canada, you can apply to this program by emailing coned.international@sait.ca.

    *For students taking two Professional Certificate programs, the tuition deadline for the first term of your second program will be three weeks before the Term 1 start date. As students in their second program do not pay a tuition deposit, Term 1 tuition for these students is $9,000.
