Overview
AutoCAD skills are the foundation of rewarding careers in large, growing industries such as architecture, construction, engineering and interior design. The AutoCAD Certificate of Completion provides training in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) using AutoCAD software.
You'll gain hands-on experience in technical drawing and modeling in two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) project environments to create and showcase designs with impact.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion, you'll be able to:
- Use computer-aided drafting and design principles and techniques, including 3D visualization, to document, design, layout and create drawings, diagrams or objects.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD software.
Professional designation and certifications
A Certificate of Completion is awarded to students by SAIT upon the successful completion of this program.
These courses have been approved for education and training credits towards Gold Seal Certification.
Individuals with AutoCAD training and industry experience can take exams through Autodesk to become Autodesk Certified User (ACU) or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in AutoCAD.
Funding
This program is eligible for funding through the Canada Alberta Job Grant (CAJG).
