PWEN 104 - First Class Power Engineering A2
Course Description
Our 84-hour online First Class Power Engineering course provides you with the supplemental education you may need to be successful in writing your Government A2 exam. You'll cover the following topics:
- lifting machines
- energy and momentum
- centripetal force and acceleration
- torque and torsion
- stress and strain
- static fluids
- fluids in motion
As PWEN 104 cannot be used as a credit towards work experience or as a credit towards a SAIT certificate, you must complete all eight sections to receive work experience credit and a certificate for your learning:
- A1, A2, A3, A4
- B1, B2, B3, B4
If you are seeking credit in place of work experience, please contact your provincial boiler's branch to ensure our courses are accepted. You will have four months to complete this course, with a final exam at the end.
Note: Registration for this course closes two days before the course start date.
Prerequisites
To register you must be a holder of a valid Provincial Power Engineering Second Class Certificate.
PWEN 116, PWEN 117, PWEN 126, PWEN 127, PWEN 136 and PWEN 137 are the mandatory requirements for this course. You are required to show proof of completion by emailing conedadvising@sait.ca.
Recommendations
It is recommended that students have a minimum of Grade 12 Math, Physics and English.Applies Towards the Following Certificates
