Course Description

Do you want to enhance your understanding of how hydrogen can be safely, responsibly  and efficiently incorporated into present or future industrial processes?

This 48-hour online hydrogen awareness course provides mid-career professionals working in process-related occupations across diverse industries in Canada with foundational technical knowledge on how to optimize hydrogen technologies while considering ethical concerns such as Indigenous rights, sustainability and societal impact.

Enjoy an engaging, self-directed online learning experience with access to comprehensive modules, assessments and expert guidance to ensure in-depth understanding and skill development. Our industry-experienced instructors will guide you throughout the course and will be available by email to answer your questions.

Whether you’re new to hydrogen or already working to transition into a different role focusing on hydrogen-fueled power for industrial processing, you’ll leave this course equipped to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs in hydrogen-related processes, including production, storage, and utilization.

This course provides only a high-level overview of hydrogen properties and characteristics, hydrogen production methods, and hydrogen storage, transportation and utilization methods. If you require an in-depth understanding of these topics, we recommend taking SNRG-001 Hydrogen Awareness and Understanding for Process-Related Occupations first.

Note: Registration for this course closes two days before the course start date.

This course is ideal if you:

  • work in any of the following or related occupations: chemical engineer or technician, engineer, manufacturing or production manager, project manager, safety or environmental specialist and are interested in hydrogen-specific processes in your area of expertise
  • want to elevate your skills and become a key player in the transformative world of hydrogen technologies.
