Course Description
Do you feel you could communicate better in the workplace, especially now that you're tasked with leading teams? Learn with us the secret sauce to fostering trust, collaboration and psychological safety.
Part of our new Emerging Leaders Certificate of Completion, this two-day, in-person course builds on the foundation established in LDSH 041 - Leading Self and LDSH 042 - Leading Mindset. It further advances your leadership development by refining the communication skills to effectively navigate, facilitate and support meaningful workplace conversations.
Led by an expert instructor at our SAIT Calgary campus, this interactive course will cover essential communication strategies and techniques to handle diverse workplace situations with confidence and clarity. Through engaging discussions, interactive exercises and peer collaboration, you’ll learn about body language, cultural diversity and conversational dynamics. You'll also work on mastering your assertiveness and using various strategies to deliver impactful coaching and feedback with authenticity and purpose. In addition to classroom activities, you'll access supplementary content through your online portal to enhance your learning experience.
By the end of this course, you’ll have the key communication skills and attitude to inspire, motivate and lead effectively.
