Course Description

This course provides an insight into reading and generating measurement schematics.

Schematics is the primary source of communication between the field and the production accounting staff in a typical oil and gas company.

In the three western provinces, it's a regulatory requirement that you build measurement schematics to a specific standard.

By the end of this course, you'll be able to read and generate measurement schematics and interpret Directive 17 as it relates to schematics, learn about the types of equipment that need to be displayed, and use schematics to improve measurement and allocation outcomes and compliance.

You'll also learn about the methods a production accountant uses to delineate a field, be able to outline the metering required to do an accounting balance, and identify common problems a measurement schematic will reveal.

Production Accountants and Senior Liquid Measurement Supervisors, Measurement Technicians/Technologists, Measurement & Control Technicians, Measurement Analysts and Operators, Instrumentation Technicians,  Automation Team Leaders, Measurement Engineers, Reliability Managers, Measurement and Logistics Technicians, Hydrocarbon Measurement Specialists and their managers, Petroleum Measurement Technical Leaders, Advanced Gas Measurement Technicians looking to expand their knowledge on Measurement Schematics will benefit significantly from this course.
