Overview

Our 179-hour Principles of Construction Management Certificate of Achievement is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to excel in Construction Management. The program's courses cover key aspects of construction management, such as managing projects, working with plans and specifications, contracts, building codes, high-performance residential design and construction practices and workplace safety. You’ll have access to real-world learning experiences and expert support via email from industry-certified SAIT instructors, all while enjoying the convenience of learning online. If you’re looking to advance your career, increase your earning potential or improve your understanding of the ever-changing construction industry, this program can provide you with the confidence and capability to succeed.

This program will prepare you for career opportunities in these occupations: Construction Contractor, Construction Estimator, Construction Manager and Trades Supervisor. You must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time you start the first course for this program. There are no other specific admission requirements (academic and/or work experience). Any industry-related experience you already have will be beneficial.

Program cost: The program consists of six mandatory courses. Tuition for each course ranges from $399 to $759 per course, for an approximate total tuition cost of $3,865. Included is access to all course-related materials and resources in the Brightspace (D2L) learning platform from your own personal computer.

Delivery formats: All courses in this program are offered online. Some are online asynchronous and others are virtual (online synchronous). Learn more about our delivery formats.

Program completion: This program can be completed in as little as 12–18 months (subject to course availability) and up to three years. A non-credit SAIT Certificate of Achievement and transcript will be electronically issued to you upon successful completion. Learn more about SAIT credentials.

You can take one or a few courses at a time and in any order. We recommend registering as soon as possible (7–14 days in advance of the course start date). Payment is by Visa or Mastercard upon registration.
