Course Description
This course provides an insight into reading and generating measurement schematics.
Schematics is the primary source of communication between the field and the production accounting staff in a typical oil and gas company.
In the three western provinces, it's a regulatory requirement that you build measurement schematics to a specific standard.
By the end of this course, you'll be able to read and generate measurement schematics and interpret Directive 17 as it relates to schematics, learn about the types of equipment that need to be displayed, and use schematics to improve measurement and allocation outcomes and compliance.
You'll also learn about the methods a production accountant uses to delineate a field, be able to outline the metering required to do an accounting balance, and identify common problems a measurement schematic will reveal.
